Creative Supper Clubs
Creativity Works are launching a series of Creative Supper Clubs across Bath and further afield. We hope you will join us for fun, laughs, good food, an eclectic crowd, and a ‘creative happening’ at these vibrant, fun events.
These ‘pop up style’ events will occur every month in a different exciting and funky venue with vegetarian maestros and up and coming gourmet chefs supplying unusual, wholesome, organic and simply sublime food! The food will be a complete surprise (gluten free and veggie available of course) as will the random creative ‘happening’ or activity.
We presented our inaugural event in partnership with The Chelsea Road Café on Thursday 7th March.
The event was a ‘sell out’ and a great success with volunteers and supporters of Creativity Works mingling with members of the general public, participants from the Mental Health Creative Support Service and local artists. Pat and Chris from the Chelsea Road Café were excellent hosts and the café looked magical lit up with candles and adorned with colourful bunting. Good wine and local ales accompanied a delicious supper of coq au vin with curly kale. The young chef is to be very much applauded and we encourage you all to visit this great little gem of a café!
Brian from www.madmusik.co.uk treated us all to an impromptu orchestra with people rattling their cutlery, blowing through their wine bottles, shouting out words and singing random snippets of song. People soon warmed up and gentle guitar music was strumming away in the background provided by artist Rob Fresson www.rgfresson.co.uk and David Davies encouraged us all with some sublime poetry.
The gentle atmosphere helped create some interesting and wonderful doodles on the tablecloths, which we will recycle for future events. We met lots of new people and hope to see them all again.
We will be following this event up with a regular series of random evenings in various venues across Bath and beyond so keep your eyes and ears peeled for more info.
