Join us for a special interactive co|Create event: Fresh Art@ Bath – A 5 year Arts, Health and Heritage Project on Thursday 30th May as part of this year’s Fresh Art@ exhibition.
This free session is an opportunity to hear from partnership staff, project artists and participants about their experience and how this project supports mental health, wellbeing and reduces social isolation. We’ll also be experimenting with some creative collage techniques from the current exhibition. This session is aimed at socially engaged artists and anyone with an interest in arts for wellbeing.
What is the Fresh Art@ Project?
“The Fresh Art@ project encourages individuals to create art which enables growth in self-confidence, wellbeing and pride and camaraderie as a group.”
Fresh Art@ is an innovative project that harnesses the power of creativity to make a real difference to the lives of people who have been experiencing mental health challenges and social isolation. This project has been created in partnership with Avon & Wiltshire Mental Health Partnership Trust and Bath Museums Partnership. During the 5 years this project has been running, it has supported people to explore their creativity both in museum-based settings and on-ward hospital sessions, creating further pathways to creative and cultural activities across Bath and North East Somerset. This year’s exhibition showcases the artwork that was created and inspired by workshops held at the Holburne, No. 1 Royal Crescent and The American Museum between February – April 2019.
