Half term is just round the corner and we’ve rounded up some of the free, creative workshops for children and families in Bath and North East Somerset.
Little Lost Robot in Twerton

Drawing Competition
For under 16s to draw a brilliant nature based picture. The winning pictures will be used to decorate murals and planters coming to Twerton High Street

Creative Twerton is a warm space and you can pop by to enjoy creative activities, free refreshments and a playroom for little kids. Open Tuesday to Friday, 12 noon – 5pm
Free Entry for Families to Holbourne Museum
Enjoy the whole museum (including new exhibitions) as a family for free this half term. Valid from 11th-20th February, maximum 2 free adult entries to 1 child.
No need to book, just turn up.
Free workshop and exhibition at Victoria Art Gallery
Butterfly Bright
Tuesday 14 to Friday 17 February, 10.30am to 12.30pm

Make beautiful hanging butterflies to decorate your home, or create a butterfly plant label and take home a pack of butterfly and bee-friendly flower seeds to plant. Take inspiration from the Gallery’s free Jessica Palmer exhibition, which includes collages of meadows and plants around Bath, capturing the beauty of our natural surroundings.
This activity session is part of The Wild Escape, the Art Fund’s nationwide project uniting hundreds of museums, schools and families to find nature in museums.
Lego Club at Moorland Road Community Library

The event is run by Mike of Brick Party Bath and it’s a great opportunity to invent new places and things with lego.
Sensory Space at Bath Central Library
Bath Central Library has launched a new sensory space. In this room, you will find sensory lighting and toys, a giant beanbag and comfy rug and cushion area, plus a black out tent.

The room is open to all to use but they particularly want to welcome families and small groups of children and young adults with sensory needs. Children will need adult supervision, so please book the room for all adults and children.
